For real this time...

we're going local, organic, free range. No more High Fructose Corn Syrup. No more highly processed foods.

We're heading to the local farmer's market today (if it's open) to see what we can get there and what we'll have to shop for at the larger farmer's market that's about 30 minutes away.

One of the reasons for this decision is finding out about all the genetically modified food the U.S. is growing. Virtually all the corn, soy, cotton, and canola grown in the US is grown from GM seeds. Why is that bad? Well, it has to do with the way they modify the DNA - by using bacteria and viruses. It has to do with the impact of BT (a pesticide that the plants are modified to produce so there's less pesticide spraying) on people and the environment.

So here we go again. For real this time.
